Locally Grown, Community Supported
CSA (abbreviation stands for “community supported agriculture“) boxes are subscription-based way for consumers to buy local, seasonal food directly from local farmers. Our farm box program features freshly-picked vegetables, fruits, herbs from our backyard and local, certified organic farms. Also select foods and baked goods from local food artisans. Partnering with local organic farms and food artisans we provide an easy and affordable way to eat more sustainable by reducing your “food print.”
Members of our program get a box chock-full of vegetables, fruits & herbs grown from the Urban Homestead and a partnership of local farms and friends we have personal relationships with. Select foods and baked goods from local food artisans are also offered as part of the box or “add ons.”
Produce offerings change on a seasonal basis (that’s a good thing!) Nature is not a 24-7 convenience store.I’ve tried 4 different CSAs, and Urban Homestead is by far the best in terms of quality, price, and flexibility. I love that they have eggs, honey, jam and other options available as add-ons and I also appreciate that I can customize my box each week. What makes our program different?
We work with you to make our farm box program work for you. You won’t be stuck with too many squashes or produce you can’t use.

Small Box $25 – couple.
